D- Modules, algebraic and geometric view points

Abstract:

I shall recall the basic features of D-Module Theory since the very inicial inspiration from Algebraic Geometry, EDPs, and Representation theory. In a second step I will recall the construction of the characteristic variety both by filtrations and by analytic methods. Recall Gabber's Theorem. Illustrate how so different approaches enlightned the richness of this theory. And finally speak for about 10 minutes about my own research concerning microssupports for generalised tempered solutions of D-Modules.
